Mediation
Mediation is a form of "alternative dispute resolution, which is simply another way of resolving disputes outside of the courtroom. In a mediation, all of the parties to a dispute try to reach a voluntary settlement through the help of a Mediator. The Mediator is a neutral party, who has no decision making authority in the dispute, and whose role is to help the parties come to an agreement that they might not otherwise be able to reach on their own. Unlike Arbitration, there are no winners or losers in a mediation.
